Hi Crew, It’s my Tuesday fortnight already and I’ve completely dropped the ball. There are three half finished posts awaiting attention in my Drafts Folder but I’m still trying to get a bead on the fragrances. So here is a picture of most of the perfumes I wore in the last two weeks.
Fortnight Perfume Wears
Are any of these loves, likes or loathes of yours? Do the houses speak to you? Do you wish you’d grabbed any of the now DCd beauties?

Also I did the Boy George look again this week. LOVED my make up this night so thought I’d take a pic. I was wearing Hermès Eau de Citron Noir. It’s mid winter here so this outfit is one of my warmest and it gets a lot of winter wear.

Also, here’s a quick hello from the dogs who now own this apartment and have all the best spots. They’re both in their 10th year, getting old, stinky and rickety. What was once not allowed is now permissible. We will be lucky to have them another 12 months. What are rules in the faces of these beautiful hounds?
The white spot girl is Momo, Jin’s baby, who has decided MY BED is the comfiest spot in the house. She only came to us last year. Her Dad went into care and no-one would take her. Jin saw her on our local greyhound FaceBook page and they were worried that she’d have to go to a pound where old dogs are usually euthenised on arrival. We got her that weekend.

This used-to-be black guy is Paris, my true love, who has taken the prime spot on the couch. You’d think he is watching the TV with us. Paris came from a trainer mate of mine with another Greyhound Jinx (Jin’s) who got cancer. Jin was heartbroken.

So what have you all been wearing? Clothes or fragrance. How are your pets doing?

Oh pets …… they break your heart …..
I am always wishing I had snaffled various discontinued beauties! But I should be content with the scores and scores I already have and don’t give proper attention to! What is the Hermes on the bottom right?

Hey JilliCat,
Yeah, pets are heartbreak but also such joy. Ours are so spoiled they’re becoming a little disobedient, I can see them deciding idc they’re going to do what’s asked.
The Hermès is Citron Noir. It’s like a dark woods and oudh citrus, leathery. Very cool.

Love your choices of scents. I found my Maria Candida Gentile, Burlesque, it’s glorious. Love it so much. Your greyts are precious. I love all sighthounds, especially greyhounds, whippets and Italian greyhounds, sweetest creatures ever. So glad you could take the gorgeous spotted girl and give her a lovely retirement home. ❤️❤️❤️

Heya RR,
Burlesque! So glam.
Yes, Momo is a delight, even when she’s being a brat.

Ooh, I have that round Bal à Versailles as well, but as a mini. Your doggies look so content and happy.

YUM for Bal Nose prose. What a fragrance, eh?
HA! They should be. They’re spoiled rotten. To the point of insolence.

Any likes? Of course, Boucheron and Guerlain. I still need to try Lady Day, Portia.
Growing up, we always had dogs. But with a busy work life, I felt that being gone 12 hours a day or sometimes more, wasn’t fair to any pet. They do bring a great deal of joy though.

I hear you on the pets Flaconneur, part of the reason I like to have two is they keep each other company when we can’t be with them. It seems like more work but actually it’s so much better. It does cost a bit more though.
When you get your sniff on Lady day give it a few wears before deciding. It’s a grower.

Mr Jarvis Cockapoo aka Barky McBarkface is hating the hot, humid weather. Having a fleece more than fur & being jet black he gets heatstroke very quickly but, having to stay in makes him frustrated. Hence the aka. Must admit the vet suggested a rescue greyhound to calm him down. She may have had a point, he still has the evening zoomies at 8yo!
Those beauties! Be still my beating heart!

HA! Poor Barry McBarkface. It’s the eternal conundrum. Most of the year we walk the dogs early in the morning for a wee (4am when Jin gets up for work), afternoon food and wee and then after my work 10 or 11pm food and walk. Only the afternoon walk can be hot but I just take them 50m each way, all under tree cover in the HOT.
We love our beautiful Greyhounds. I can’t even imagine have a dog that barked now.

He has the run of 2/3rd of the garden for toilet & play. The patio is always cool from the shadow of the house.
The barking makes my teeth rattle at time. He barks at every animal on TV

My Italian greyhounds used to bark at everything too, and the breed is usually not known for barking. My guys thought they were Jack Russells!🤣🤣

HA! That’s hilarious RR.
Italian Greyhounds are too excited for us. We love the look but what we want in a dog is lazy cuddles and quiet.

Jarvis & I are not friends today. He sat at the side of the bed barking in my ear hole until I woke up. DH had left me to have a lie in whilst the weather is a little cooler but Jarvis had other ideas!

O M G! He really barks at every animal on TV? Alityke, that must be annoying but also funny, yeah?

Yep! Every dog, cat, bird etc. it’s even funnier when he goes to check out behind the TV to see where it’s hiding

It’s supposed to be a sign of a happy healthy dog. Like rolling.
When he rolls it’s always in something unspeakably animalic

Aww those lovely and lazy beauties. I’ve been pet-free for six years now because life is too busy and we’re away from home frequently. But, and it’s a big but, if I were ever to have another dog it would be a rescue greyhound. We have a horrible dog racing culture here so there’s no shortage of retirees. My brother-in-law recently got a Labrador puppy, he’s adorable, but I’m not swayed! And onto your perfume pic, I have a few of them – the Miss Dior parfum is just amazing. I haven’t worn it in over three years though. It’s tucked away safely. Let me tell you about a small Hermes haul that I got recently for a pittance, Caleche, Jour, and Cuir D’Ange. All 100 ml and at least half full. Plus Creed Wind Flowers, also half full. My feet didn’t touch the ground for days.
I’m just wondering. . . When will Boy George become Man George 😜 Keep on spoiling those fur babies, because if you can’t love a dog, you can’t love anyone.

Hey CassieFlower,
Jin has put his foot down. When these dogs go we are going to live a few years dog free. He wants to be able to shut the door and run away at a moments notice. It’s so rare for him to ask for anything I’ve acquiesced. One of the reasons getting greyhounds is so good is that you miss the awful puppy part.
WHOA! What a stunning haul. Congratulations. Wear them in the best of health.
HA! One of the wonderful things about Boy George is his agelessness.

Such beautiful dogs! I will hope with you that you’ll get as long with them as possible (and then some).
From your impressive selection, I recognize, love and wear Miss Dior, Niki de Saint Phalle and Stash. Shalimar and Bal de Versailles, which I also recognized, are not for me.
These days I do not wear perfumes regularly. I try, but sometimes one-two days just run away from me before I can remember to put something on. I hope to get better.

Thanks Undina,
WOW! Forgetting to wear perfume? You must have other things filling your plate.
Hopefully they will all become less cumbersome and you’ll come back to your scents.
