I know that in our diverse world people have quite a variety of definitions even for such a seemingly simple notion as “summer.” In the Northern Hemisphere, from an astronomical view, summer starts at the solstice (around June 21st) and ends with autumnal equinox (around September 21st). Summer is considered between 1st of May and 31st of July according to the solar season (and Irish calendar). “Reckoning by cultural festivals, the summer season in the United States is traditionally regarded as beginning on Memorial Day weekend (the last weekend in May) and ending on Labor Day (the first Monday in September)” (Wikipedia). And I won’t even start about the Southern Hemisphere! But for today’s question, I’m going by the meteorological convention that defines summer as comprising the months of June, July, and August in the Northern Hemisphere. Hence, today is the last day of Summer.
Saturday Question #229:
What Perfume Will You Wear for the Last Day of Summer (or Winter)?
Even if your choice doesn’t have anything to do with the specific date, you are wearing perfume, aren’t you? What guided your choice today?
My Answer
It’s a Labor Day weekend in the US, so today I will be wearing white. Puredistance WHITE.
How about you?

Nishane colognise,I wasn’t even aware that it was last day of summer !

I applied perfume after reading your question, but I think it fits the end of summer: April Aromatics Irisistible. Iris is beautiful but also a little bit sad, flowery but also earthy/rooty a bit like the garden is smelling now. My husband read a book about fragrant plants and he asked me what orris was. So I said I will wear it today. He liked it a lot.

I like Irisistable – both the name and perfume. I haven’t worn it in a while – thank you for the reminder.

I really love Puredistance White by the way. Great choice, Undina! Because our weather here in Chicago is still hot. I’m going for something refreshing, and an absolute favorite of mine, Trèfle Pur by Atelier Cologne.

Trefle Pur is one of my favorite AC’s scents. I’m sad that they exited the US market: while I liked them and enjoyed many of their perfumes, those are not of the kind I would be getting with an oversees S&H.

It’s refreshingly breezy but still warm here. After the upheavals of August I’m needing a period of restful recuperation.
Wearing fragrance is an active process for my brain & I haven’t worn fragrance since the funeral last Wednesday as part of my much needed reset.

Please take care of yourself. Perfumes will be waiting for you once you feel like wearing them.

I don’t think I tried this one, but I like many mandarin scents, so I imagine it to be great :)

Though officially the last day of winter yesterday, it was too glorious so I raided the spring stuff early.
Morning: Costume National So Nude
Night: DIOR New Look 1947
So I was ready today for Spring and wore Jacomo Silences. It was perfect.

I’m not familiar with the first one, but both New Look and Silences are perfect for early spring!

Interlude 53 Man is a fragrance that I first tried in hot weather and found suffocating, but I eventually realized that heavy, leathery, resinous scents do well in heat if applied sparingly. So I wore that several days in a row including yesterday, and it did wonders lasting all day even through high volumes of sweat.

I agree about the notes that work interestingly in heat if not to overapply. I don’t remember if I tried that Amouage – I need to check my database.

I wore Paco Rabanne Pour Elle (“vintage” version from 2003), but mainly as I was making a decant and it went everywhere. ;)

I’m familiar with the “unintentional application” phenomenon :) But at least it’s something in your collection, so presumably you do not mind wearing it.

I was dog sitting for a friend of mine, and so I wore Hermes Jardin Apres la Mousson. I love that fragrance and can’t believe it’s gone. It was perfect for my low key weekend-lots of dog walks, lots of sunshine, some time on my own to kind of smooth out my thoughts and get some clear ideas. The dog’s name is Bo and he’s such a beautiful little beast. When I would take him for walks he would sometimes slip off his collar and wait for me to notice, or when we’d start the walk he’d put the leash in his own mouth, as if he was going to walk himself. I am a cat person but the occasional visit with a dog is most welcome.
Also I’m in denial-this isn’t September-this is August continued, in my mind :)

As someone who prefers fall/winter season, I can’t share your feelings (but weather-wise, September is often the hottest month in our year).
I like some dogs, so I enjoy their company on rare occasions I spend time with them at other people’s houses. But I would not want the responsibility that comes with having that kind of a pet.
